Introduction

FolderIcons ("we", "us") sells digital folder icon skins. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to run the service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

  1. Account information — When you sign in with Google (or email), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  2. Purchase and credit history — Orders, credit balances, unlocked skins, and download activity, so your purchases stay permanently available to you.
  3. Payment information — Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Creem as merchant of record). We receive transaction confirmations and the email used at checkout; we never see or store full card numbers.
  4. Usage data — Pages visited and basic device/browser information, used to keep the site fast and secure.
  5. Cookies — We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language preference. We do not sell data to advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

  • Operate your account: credits, unlocks, and lifetime re-downloads.
  • Process credit pack purchases and deliver order confirmations.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized sharing of download links.
  • Respond to support requests.

Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth solely for authentication. The data received (name, email, avatar) is used to create and identify your account. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, files, or any other Google service data.

Data Sharing

We share data only with the processors required to run the service: our payment provider (to process purchases), our hosting and storage providers (to serve the site and deliver downloads), and our email provider (to send transactional messages). We never sell your personal data.

Data Retention & Your Rights

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, since ownership of skins is permanent. You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time via the support widget; deleting your account permanently removes access to unlocked skins.

Security

Sessions are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Download links are short-lived and signed. Secrets and payment credentials are stored encrypted.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
